2 Corinthians 10

2 Corinthians 10 – The Real Enemy

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh.” 2 Corinthians 10:3

From the beginning of time man has been at war. Temptations rise within the flesh and we war against carnal emotions. People bring false accusations and we war against lies. There is a dispute and we war against unfair practices.

At times, it appears we never rest from war. Paul brings to light that although we are in the world, our war really isn’t against the flesh.  Our war is against sin and Satan. Satan is the “father of lies.” He is the “accuser of the saints” and brings his “accusations against them [the saints], day and night.”

There is a war going on within mankind. Righteousness battling against evil; light versus darkness; heaven versus hell.

The Bible teaches that we are either the children of light or the children of darkness. We are either on our way to heaven or on our way to a lost eternity. Although the flesh is strong and temptations seem overwhelming, man’s war “is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and Powers” May God open up your eyes to see the truth. For where there is the truth, there is freedom!
