Acts 6

Acts 6

“Now in these days when the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint by the Hellenists arose against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution.” Acts 6:1

I often hear from several of my peers that they would like to leave a mark in the history of time. They claim they want to do something “big,”  something “powerful,” something that could change the course of time!

It has been proven that very powerful people and powerful events start with what may appear to be small. In this case, neglected widows. James writes, “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction” (James 1:27a).

Do you want to do something big for the Kingdom? Perhaps, beginning with some small acts of kindness towards the poor would be a great start. For if you’re faithful with a little, God can make you faithful with much.
