Ephesians 4

Ephesians 4 – Walk Worthy

“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.” Ephesians 4:1

Paul loved the Ephesian Christians. He was like a father to them. He encouraged, exhorted, and watched them grow from spiritual children into thriving adults.

As Paul handed off the baton, His final request was for the Ephesians to “walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called” and to do so “with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.”

The request was easy to accept and certainly worth heeding. Now that the Christians had grown up, the world was observing their behavior. They were to display the fruits of the spirit, preach the gospel, and show the world how awesome God is.

CHALLENGE

Does the world see Jesus in your words and actions? If not, it’s time to “walk worthy!” After all, it’s the least we can do based on what God has done for us.

May God give you the strength to get rid of all those things in your life that are stopping you from being a bright light for Jesus. Embrace the challenge to be an example for the world to observe. It’s a tough task, but it’s one worth taking on!
