Ephesians 5 – Walking Wisely

“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish but understand what the will of the Lord is.”Ephesians 5:15-17

My grandfather once told me, “if you’re not looking for trouble then, trouble may be looking for you.”

Have you ever wondered why some people have so many problems? Besides the rare unexpected mishap, poor decision-making is usually at the center of these terrible situations. People could avoid the majority of these unfortunate experiences if they would have only sought out God and asked His plan instead of relying on their own faulty decision making skills.

Think about it, a bad relationship started from misleading emotions. A poor financial situation evolved from the pursuit of things you couldn’t afford. A drug addiction blindsided you, all because you wanted to fit in.

The list is endless and although each situation is different, they all started with the same error—a lack of spiritual sobriety!
