John 9

John 9

“We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” John 9:4-5

Each warrior receives a set of orders. You’ve been instructed to preach to the very ends of the world. You’ve been commanded by our great Commander, to evangelize, preach and teach to those who have no hope in this very dark world.

John writes, “We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work.” In other words, time is short. The day will soon come where the opportunity to spread the Good News and carry out God’s orders will be gone.

Soon, you will stand before your Commander and have to give an account of what you did with the resources He gave you to accomplish the mission. Will you be able to look up, face-to-face and address Him: “Lord and God?” And will you hear him say, “Well done good and faithful servant?” Will He crown you as one of His champions (consider the five crowns mentioned in the New Testament? (ref) How awesome will it be for this rare and precious reward to be given only those who are faithful?!

May God give all His God’s soldiers the strength and discipline to “work during the day because when the night, comes no man works.” RPF
