Romans 3 – Video Day!

“What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin, as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” Romans 3:9-12

Paul has invested several chapters explaining that the righteousness of God has been revealed to mankind in many different ways. God unveiled His glory through His creation. He discloses His righteousness through the consciousness of man and ultimately by His law, which shows us that men are transgressors.

Although the Hebrews were given the law of Moses, the Tabernacle, and the sacrifices; they still had the same fundamental problem as the rest of the world. And it was this, that we’re all under the bondage of sin whether Jew or gentile. So much so, that the Bible declares that there isn’t one man under heaven that seeks after God. In fact, man is so depraved that all men have in fact “turned aside” to their own sin.

The culmination of this prophecy from Isaiah mentioned in our main verse is stunning. It brings to light as to why it was so necessary for the Lord Jesus to come and redeem man out of the slavery of sin. Without him, there was no way man could break the shackles of spiritual bondage.

My friend, have you experienced this spiritual freedom, loosed by the power of God? Or are you still dead in your sins?  If so, Jesus has the keys to spiritual freedom. Why not repent and confess His name? After all, He has the power to save you!
