2 Corinthians 4

2 Corinthians 4 – The Blind and the Lost

“And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.” 2 Corinthians 4:3-5

From the time Lucifer fell from grace, the angel of darkness’ entire goal has been to take as many souls to hell as possible.

How does God combat this evil plan? He sent his only begotten Son to shine a light on the blind and the lost; offering salvation to anyone who would receive Jesus as their savior. For Jesus is the “image of God” that shines to the unbeliever.

Despite Jesus’ offer of heaven, many people continue to refuse the salvation God offers. They deny God because Satan has “blinded the minds of those that do not believe.” Ultimately, leaving man to love darkness “rather than light because their deeds were evil.”

Although this is the case, God continues to send His messengers. Paul traveled thousands of miles to preach the gospel and not only did he preach this message of Hope, but he became a servant to all who experienced the life-changing power of God’s salvation.

I once heard a gospel preacher say that you’re either on your way to heaven or you’re on your way to hell? There is no such thing as in between. Seriously, what is your destination? Where do you stand with the Gospel? Are you saved or on your way to a lost eternity? May God give you the courage to be honest because your soul depends on it. And if you aren’t heading north, make the change necessary to get there. Godspeed.
