2 Corinthians 3

2 Corinthians 3 – Public Letter

You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all. And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.”2 Corinthians 3:2

Every single one of us has a story. As we pass people in the streets, they can observe and judge us based on the way we behave. In essence, we are a letter read by all who pass us.

Paul explained to the Corinthians, now that they had been saved, the whole world was looking at them. After all, the Corinthians were redeemed from a barbaric lifestyle. Now that they embraced faith in Jesus, their neighbors and family members were watching closely. Because of the radical conversion, the Corinthian testimony was speaking volumes to the world that was reading them as if they were a letter. And what did that letter say to those who read it? The letter spoke of redemption, grace, mercy, and love; something foreign to the unsaved world!

Perhaps you may not know it, but your life is very much like a letter. Your loved ones read it, your friends know it, and your neighbors observe it. What does that letter say? Does it speak of Christ’s salvation in your life? Does it disclose love and compassion? Does it reveal long-suffering, kindness, and grace? If not, it’s about time to let God change your letter. Are you ready to do so?
