Ephesians 2 – Dead Without God
“As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.” Ephesians 2:1-2
- How good you are
- How much you give to the poor
- How honest you are
- How ethical you may be
- How much you serve the community, your friends or your family
…. Without salvation in Jesus Christ alone, you are spiritually dead. I didn’t say that—Jesus did.
To make things worse, you are not only spiritually dead, but a servant to this world, its aspirations, and its false glories. The Bible says that you are not only a servant to this world but a servant to the god of this age, a “spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.”
Perhaps these words may make you feel uncomfortable, but the word of God clearly says it. The Bible says that a person is either a child of God by faith in Jesus Christ, or they’re a child of darkness, going to a lost eternity.
My friend, where do you stand with the salvation message? Have you made a firm confession to make Jesus your Lord and savior? Are you sure? Perhaps you’re not sure. Why not make sure, RIGHT NOW? No need to ponder this vital matter any further. All you have to do is receive Jesus as your Lord today.
PRAY: “Jesus, save me. Today, I make you my Lord and Savior. Today you are my God. Today I give you all of myself to you. In Jesus name, AMEN!”.
It’s time to make sure we do business with Jesus before it’s too late.
