1 Corinthians 15

1 Corinthians 15 – Immortality
Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)

Paul lived each day as if it was his last. His salvation started on the road to Damascus, and he was ready to end it the moment he woke up to do Lord’s will.

When the Corinthians asked as to when the Lord will come back, Paul’s response to them was striking.

He responds that believers who passed away would rise first. Then himself, as well as other living Christians would be caught up in the air in the twinkling of an eye. Another word, he had no expectations of Dying! With this being his mentality, he lived each day as if the lord would come. It was his expectation that he would soon see the face of God without ever experiencing death!

CHALLENGE

If you knew today was your last day on this decaying world, how would you live it? Are you living your life for God’s purpose? What would Jesus say to you should you see his face tonight? May God give you the passion for living for Him and being a bright light for His cause!
