1 Corinthians 16

1 Corinthians 16 – The lord’s portion
Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come (1 Corinthians 16:1-2)

Creating a retirement nest egg for retirement takes much preparation and thought. Because of the complexities involved with investments, It’s common for people to hire a financial advisor to ensure proper planning to secure your financial future.

As with investments, starting and building a business takes serious focus and resources. To ensure success, a tremendous amount of time is required for preparation and planning.

Much like our secular investments and business ventures, God expects us to do the same when it comes to His business. Paul confirms this as he wrote to the Corinthians,  “the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him.”

CHALLENGE

Are you a person that plans out your giving back to God; your time, talents and treasures? If not, understand that God expects His saints to.  After all, how much more important is the Lord’s business over our secular business? May God give you the discipline and obedience to set aside His portion when He requests.
